wel i could carry on but, you see my point.
the only problem is the dictonary was written a long time ago when love was considered all this. now to say i love you is like saying, good morning.
don't get me wrong i do believe in love, just after a while, in which love comes your way then is taken away again either by, unfaithfulness, death, or splitting apart, it just feels like love no longer means anything.
Have you ever loved and losted somebody, wish there was a chance to say i'm sorry, can't you see thats the way i fee bout you and me baby...(Sclub7)
they say there is soeone out there for every but, is there?
i don't know anymore. do you? why is it that all the woman i have ever gone out with have either, walked out, gone behind my back, used me, the list goes on. in the end i am as welcome to love as the next, but, will it ever shine my way?
don't think me a unloveable person, i just worry.

Sometimes it seems so many words are so overused that they don't mean much. Love, friend, nice, fine, are just a few examples. For example, people say they have a friend who does so-and-so, when in reality that person is merely an acquaintance. They aren't really all that close to the person, but they might know them by name and aren't actively hostile towards the person. That seems to be friendship for a number of folks. Gets mighty confusing, don't it?
Jack, I totally agree with you. I loved and lost and got hurt and all that and asked myself that a few months ago.
Love should be shown in actions not just words. Its so easy to say i love you and things like that but it really comes down to will you be there fore them when they need you and stand by them no mater what? As fore your realations not working oout so far jack u just havent met the right person yet.
to me, "i love you" is a strong word, and i wouldn't say it unless i truly meant it. as for me believing in love, of course i do, you just have to wait for the right one to come along. it may seem like eternity, but it'll come when you least expect it, trust me, i should know.
Love is as simple as a 59 cent can of chicken noodle soup. I spent my spring break in Arizona with my boyfriend (my other half) and I got sick when I was there. I had a head cold and I was constantly sneezing and feeling queasy and all that good stuff. One morning, while I was asleep, he walked to the grocery store, asked for assistance in the store ('cause he's blind too), bought chicken noodle soup with some other assorted things (including Cheez-its, which just so happens to be my favorite snack food), walked back to the apartment, opened the can of soup and put it in the microwave, and woke me up and surprised me with it. I thought it was the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for me. I mean, I know we weren't getting along too well the past few weeks, and we were always arguing and getting mad at each other for stupid little petty things, but he still cares about me, he still loves me and cherishes me and ... that simple can of chicken noodle soup made my whole day. It put such a smile on my face like you wouldn't believe. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world because he really did make me feel special. So when times get rough, and I feel like he's being the world's most ungrateful jerk, I can just look back on the little moments that have made these last two years worth it, and smile to myself and know that I can't possibly live without him.
That is a totally beautiful story AllieCat. When the ones we care about can know and love us at our worst it makes the rest of the times easier in many ways. I know my guy, when we were dating years ago showed me how much he cared when he bought me of all things one of them deli pickles for like 39 cents. (Back 29 years ago that was ALOT of money *smile*) Anyhow I too was feeling ill and somehow those pickles always made me feel better. We were out of town at the time and I was so ill and then he went into the deli and got me one. Ate on it most of the couple of hour trip back home and it made me feel better. I can just hear some of the guys thinking, Man! it sure don't take much to please some!!! *smile* but that is many times with love, the simple acts of kindnesses that are shown on a daily bases. Connie
Also it is hard to say you love someone when you only know this person via chat, but it still happens sometimes.
Yup, it's the simple things in this life that truly make me happy. And I love those pickles you're talking about, Connie!
I agree, CG.
there are so many b*st*rds out there and far too many broken promises...have you ever thought Jack that you may be trying to hard and these women are reacting to that deep need by pushing you away and being abusive..they may have felt trapped, obligated, and scared...
I agree that there are far too many broken promises.
ok this is totally cheezy, but when I saw this topic I immediately thought of the song:
"What is love? baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more"
so that's my 2 cents.
Mahalo
God one.
well in that case why dont you inflict some of your verbal gorgonzola on us literary heathens...
Love? Sometimes I wonder about it. It seems you can love one with all your heart and soul, and do they give a shit? No. Do they show emotion? No. They treat the words as though I said, "I'm going to make breakfast." Does it matter if I'm dying inside not knowing how they feel? No. Do they give me any answers to my questions? No. All I get is more questions. Why should I poor my heart out to him and let him in to the deepest core of me if he could care less, and I don't mean care as a friend either. Damn it ! I want to know where I stand ! I'm sick and tired of showing my cards and not being showed his hand ! I'm tired of crying myself to sleep, and hoping something will happen, and not knowing if it ever will ! I'm tired of trying to break through high walls that go up when I get to close ! I love and am not loved, I need and am not needed, I want and am not wanted ! Why, Why, Why ! What is it all for? Answers, I just want answers !
I totally agree with you, Bridgette. Some say they love you, and then they hurt you. I had this experience.
Wow ! I was really, really Pist ! Can we all say I'm a spaz? ehehehehehehehehe.
love is to give and take. to care and to support. to encourage and to strengthen.
Exactly Season, I just wish everyone would think this way.
love... is something you should cherrish, and hold it dear to your heart. It is a feeling of security, and trust. To love is a very good feeling I must say, and I enjoy it lollol
Alley cat's right, it's the little things that matter.
I can remember one evening my boyfriend took me to dinner, and when we went home, I found rose pettles on my pillow. When we fight, or are just not getting along, I think of the little things he's done for me, and yes, I too realize that I charish, love, and want to be with no one but him.
